Cultural Performances and Activities, Birthday of Mazu

The festival was packed with a series of exciting performances and activities during the celebration of Mazu’s birthday such as Traditional Hokkien String Puppet Shows, Getai, the Lion Salute and a Night of Golden Oldies for devotees to enjoy. A cultural exhibition “Treasures Behind the Stones” and guided tours were also available for devotees to know more about significance of stone sculptures in the temple. Besides, a charity dinner was also held for several homes and free servings of Mazu longevity noodles were given at the temple.
